Opportunities for Science Students

HOSA Canada (All Grades Permitted)

  • As a HOSA Canada member students have the opportunity to learn about a specific health care career of interest to them such as the health care industry in general by preparing for and competing in one of the over 40 unique events. Some events focus on training students in core technical procedures unique to a particular profession while others are more generalized collaboration, communication and leadership skills.

Waterloo Chemistry Contests

  • Dive into the Waterloo chemistry contests which are meant for grade 11 and 12's that would like to challenge their science application in the field of chemistry.

Extra Help

  • See your teacher in ILIP, if your teacher is not available, see another teacher who teaches that course.
  • You can also see your teacher to arrange extra help.

 

Science Olympics

The Science Olympics are a York Region District School Board event.  This is an opportunity for students to work collaboratively to solve challenges in physics, biology and chemistry.  The Science Olympics run each spring, there are both junior and senior teams.  If you are interested, listen for announcements in second semester.
