Guidance
Registration for YRDSB Summer School courses will open on April 15, 2025. Students can register for courses through myBlueprint/myPathwayPlanner:
- On the left hand side select Continuing Education
- From the main screen select Explore Courses
- Select the format (in-person, asynchronous, synchronous) and open the drop down menu
- Select the desired course
- Print the Sign Off Sheet
- Sign and return to Guidance

Athletics
BCSS has started looking ahead to the Spring. We have the following teams beginning to form and practice in preparation of the upcoming season: Girls Flag Football, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Soccer, Boys/Girls Track & Field, Coed Ultimate, Girls Slo-Pitch, and Boys/Girls Rugby 15s. Information regarding tryouts and how to join the team will continue to be posted on the tryouts page as it becomes available. Most Spring games will begin in late April/early May. We look forward to a great season of sports.
Secondary School Vaping Update
The Ontario Ministry of Education released Policy/Program Memorandum 128 in the fall of 2024, which included a directive to school boards to set out enforcement mechanisms to address the possession, use and provision of tobacco, electronic cigarettes, nicotine products, recreational cannabis, alcohol and illegal drugs. In support of a comprehensive approach, we are pleased to announce that in the coming months, vape-detecting devices will be installed at all YRDSB secondary schools.
Our schools continue to provide education and support regarding the harmful impact of these products. Please see resources listed below.

Post-Secondary Day Program Fair
Students, Parents/Caregivers and School Staff:
- Meet representatives from more than 20 York Region day programs and 2 community agencies.
- Gather information about the programs offered to help prepare for life after high school: program structure, hours, cost, support ratio, etc.

Day Programs/Community Participation Supports: A variety of community-based activities related to work or volunteerism, daily living skills, social skills, independent living, personal management and employment preparation for individuals.

YRDSB Annual Budget Consultation
YRDSB is inviting staff, families, and community members to participate in the annual budget consultation process taking place until April 18, 2025.
These opportunities for staff and public input provide the Board with important information about how staff and the broader community would like the budget to be allocated to continue supporting student achievement and well-being in York Region.

Public Consultation Date
In addition to the survey, a virtual consultation session will take place on Monday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m.:
